The Linux binaries are available as RPM and DEB files. The main application is in the oacapture package and then you’ll need the appropriate camera (and perhaps filter wheel) interface library for your camera. For QHY cameras you’ll need the qhy-firmware package installed as well. If you already have the libraries installed as part of libindi then those should hopefully be sufficient.

The Linux binaries are available as RPM and DEB files. You’ll need to install the libasicamera, libefwfilter, libuvc and oacapture packages for all distributions.

For support of Touptek cameras you’ll also need libtoupcam, but it is optional otherwise.

For Altair cameras you’ll also need libaltaircam, but again it’s otherwise optional. There are some cameras that are no longer supported in the Altair SDK. The libaltaircamlegacy package installs an older release of the library that may help with that.

Some QHY cameras are supported internally, whilst others require
libqhyccd and its firmware package.

Mallincam cameras should also be supported if you have installed the relevant capture application provided by the manufacturer.

This multiplicity of libraries can mean that there is more than one possible interface for some cameras. Also, if you already have the libraries installed as part of INDI, you may not need them again, though there are some implementation differences.

Sources are now available from the github releases page.

The sources still include the ffmpeg, libdc1394, libusb, libuvc and libhidapi libraries necessary to allow some of the AVI functionality to work and are configured as part of the build process should they be required. If the OS distribution contains sufficiently recent releases of these libraries then the system versions will be preferred.

oacapture 1.0.0 executables. Still many different Linux versions, but this time a little different as variations between libraries on different systems means binaries won’t work in so many places.

I’ve not included 32-bit binaries for anything. If you need those for anything recent and Linux-based then I may be able to build them and make them available here if you can’t do it yourself.

Initially it’s just the OSX and Ubuntu-based binaries that are available. I’m still working on recent Fedora releases which require a build against Qt5.
